50 years of history

In 1958, in Rome, a company of artisans specializing in the construction of residential and industrial technological installations was set up thanks to the spirit and determination of a brilliant entrepreneur.

In those early years Piero Mucciola acquired a growing prestige thanks to the skill and professional approach shown in executing commissions.

The mechanical installations, still in perfect working order, for the whole “Olympic Village” which housed the athletes of the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, the heating systems for several Roman residential areas as well as the complex oil plants at important Italian oil refineries and various automation systems installed at American multinational industries are valid testimonies of this, just to mention some examples.

Meanwhile, in the late 60s, other substantial orders were accepted which required temporarily moving the business to the south of Italy.

In 1987 Piero Mucciola and his three children set up Mucciola Termogas s.n.c., a trading company created to run alongside the existing company on the exclusive distribution of quality trademark for thermo-technical industry.

The increasingly close interaction between the two companies and the progress of their operational strategies led them to the final decision to set up Mucciola Piero S.p.A, leading to a new business reality, where constant investments in resources and technologies represent an obligatory path to continue growing in an increasingly global and highly selective market.

From 1990 onwards, precise business strategies led to an expansion of activities all over the country with direct acquisition of important private and public orders.

Due to the intensification of commitments and constant moving of equipment and resources throughout the whole Peninsula, the company decided to look for new operational headquarters in the metropolitan area of Rome in order to optimize both the logistic and the commercial offices on the large central-northern Italian markets.

The new headquarters in Reggio Calabria were inaugurated in May 2000, after only 14 months’ work. Immersed a green oasis, it houses all the company’s technical, commercial, logistical and administrative services in 5.000 square meters of premises equipped with every comfort and technology.

In summer 2005, after searching for nearly three years, a new branch was purchased in Rome. It was finally inaugurated on 7th October 2006, after almost 15 months of renovation and interventions to meet the company’s operating requirements.
